Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of lyratype.com, our interactive keyboard simulator, and our Batch 01 reservation system, provided by LyraType LLC ("LyraType", "we", "us", or "our"), a Washington limited liability company.

These Terms also apply to the LyraType Moon research preview at lyratype.com/talk, where invited users converse with an AI character using an access code.

The research preview is available only to adults aged eighteen (18) or older. The AI character is not a real person; its responses are generated by software.

Your use of the website and simulator is subject to these Terms. By submitting a reservation or waitlist request and affirmatively checking the required acknowledgement, you agree to be bound by these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not submit a request.

Batch 01 reservations and allocations are available exclusively to residents of the United States with a valid United States shipping address.

You must be an adult at least eighteen (18) years of age (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) to submit a reservation or waitlist request. You represent and warrant that you are submitting it for yourself or as a parent or legal guardian on behalf of a minor user.

A confirmed Batch 01 reservation is a provisional expression of interest that allocates a temporary position in our production queue. A waitlist entry records interest only, does not allocate a Batch 01 slot or queue position, and does not guarantee priority or admission to a future batch. Neither status constitutes a purchase order, contract of sale, commercial purchase agreement, payment, or guarantee of product delivery or availability.

No monetary payment or deposit is required or collected to obtain an initial reservation token.

A reservation or waitlist entry will expire if it is not converted into an active deposit, order, or customer relationship before the record is deleted in accordance with our six-month retention period.

You agree to provide true, accurate, and complete contact details. The use of automated scripts, web scrapers, bots, multiple fraudulent queue entries, or any attempt to disrupt site systems is strictly prohibited.

LyraType reserves the right to cancel any reservation suspected of bot generation, fraudulent activity, or abusive submissions without prior notice.

By submitting a reservation or waitlist request, you agree to receive strictly transactional and operational communications regarding that request, including availability or allocation notices, pre-production notices, deposit/payment invitations, shipping updates, safety notices, and customer support responses.

We do not send promotional advertising newsletters.

All hardware specifications, materials, dimensions, firmware features, and estimated pricing presented on the website are developmental engineering targets and may be refined prior to mass production.

Before collecting any monetary deposit or final payment, LyraType will provide complete commercial terms of sale, payment terms, shipping policies, warranty details, and return policies for your review and express agreement.

All website materials, including the LyraType name, logos, hardware concepts, 65-key matrix architecture, simulator software, visuals, and text, are owned by or licensed to LyraType LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the website and simulator for personal, non-commercial evaluation purposes.

The talk page uses software provided by Live2D Inc. (Live2D Cubism Core and the Cubism SDK for Web) and Live2D's sample model "Hiyori Momose". They remain the property of Live2D Inc. and its licensors.

You may use them only to view and talk on the talk page. You may not copy, extract, redistribute, modify, decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer Live2D Cubism Core or the sample model files, or use them apart from the talk page.

They are provided "as is". Live2D Inc. gives you no warranty and has no liability to you for them; to the extent permitted by law, you will not bring any claim against Live2D Inc. arising from your use of the talk page.

This content uses sample data owned and copyrighted by Live2D Inc. The sample data are utilized in accordance with terms and conditions set by Live2D Inc. This content itself is created at the author's sole discretion.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE WEBSITE, SIMULATOR, AND RESERVATION SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE WEBSITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LYRATYPE LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE WEBSITE, SIMULATOR, OR RESERVATION QUEUE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO LYRATYPE LLC IN CONNECTION WITH THE RESERVATION (WHICH IS ZERO DOLLARS, $0.00 USD) OR ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100.00 USD), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

You may cancel your reservation or waitlist entry at any time without penalty by emailing huanfuli@lyratype.com.

LyraType LLC reserves the right to modify, pause, or terminate the Batch 01 reservation and waitlist program, or cancel individual provisional slots or entries, if necessary due to engineering, supply chain, regulatory, or business considerations.

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or related to your use of the website or reservation services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without giving effect to conflict of law principles.

Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in the State of Washington, and the parties consent to personal jurisdiction and venue therein. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable statutory consumer protection rights under applicable law.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
